THIS THING IS SO FUN
And stick shift is super easy! I hopped in and took off without an issue. Never even stalled it!
I need a manual beater car, like now. This is a problem.

If you still know how to have fun in a gutless $600 car, you owe it to yourself to get one. That is plain and simple guilt-free fun.

I am genuinely considering doing this.

Seeing as you already have an e36, an e30 beater would complete the set.

Even the most beater E30 is probably gonna set me back $2k, that's the issue.

and with about $3000 in parts and decent tires you can get them to corner like an E36

I had more fun in my Corolla than a lot of people do in a sports car. Unless you have access to a track; a cheap, slow car will always be more fun. Bonus points were awarded because it was already a little beat up. Never feared battling traffic or parking.

I have several stories I will be posting about my beater e30. $450 gets you a lot of car.

Sn95 as above is a better buy unless you really hate the looks

Just looking for cheap + stick + V8. I imagine the SN95 is probably still more expensive.
You can keep a Fox Body running for pennies with hand tools.

At least in my area all the fox bodies are either waaaay too beat, somebody’s else’s shit project or clean and expensive. My observation is that nobody really likes the sn95 but it has the same platform as the foxbody with a lighter body and a newer engine and they go for real cheap because everyone is buying fox bodies

I had a v6 sn-95 with over 250k miles when I sold it and I beat the hell out of it in empty parking lots and on the pizza delivery grind it was never too bad on garage time or stranding me

I mean, you’re right there’s a lot of terrible wannabe project fox bodies around.
And if you’re lucky you can catch an SN95 with a 5.0

Gotta love fox bodies though I won’t argue that is easier and cheaper to make power with them
